Welcome into my mind! It can be a bit intimidating, but I promise we will get along famously. I can tell that you are very eager to know who is behind the name M. R. Slaughter. I will lift the veil for you to peek, yes?

I have been on this floating rock for a good three decades plus some years. Writing has been part of my life for most of that time. I’ve kept it close to the chest, of course. A shy one, I am indeed. This outlet that I now share with you shall be our little secret. Maybe it’ll grow into the world and cover it like darkness. For now, it is just us.

I do hope you find something that sings to your soul, or maybe makes it skip a beat. I will not tell you I am a certain type of writer, since you can find a very eclectic style scattered around. Though I think it only fair to give a warning: things tend to get grim, since I would say I lean toward that aesthetic in life. You will find me more commonly in black than any other color. I do enjoy a beautiful dark plum, to be fair.
